Nepalese police guard office buildings in Kathmandu, February 16, 2002,
after maoist rebels killed 127 people, mainly policeman and soldiers,
in weekend raids on several government installations in the Himalayan
Kingdom, officials said. At least 49 policemen and four others,
including a top bureaucrat, were killed late on Saturday when the
rebels attacked government offices and police posts at Mangalsen in
