RELATIVES OF 69 RUSSIANS KILLED IN MIDAIR CRASH VISIT THE SITE OF THE
CRASH IN SOUTHERN GERMANY.
The relatives of the 69 Russians killed in a mid-air collision over the
southern German city of Ueberlingen visit the site of the crashed
Tupolev 154, July 4, 2002. At least 71 people were killed in the crash
including some 52 children, on their way from Moscow to a vacation in
Barcelona, Spain, when a Bashkirian airliner and a Boeing 757 from the
DHL delivery service collided at an altidude of 36,000 feet (about
11,000 meters) scattering flaming wreckage over a 20 mile wide area.
