BRITAIN'S DUKE OF YORK SPEAKS TO FAMILIES OF NAVAL PERSONNEL DEPLOYED
TO THE GULF IN PORTSMOUTH.
Britain's Duke of York (R) chats with family members of naval personnel
who have been deployed to the Gulf at Portsmouth Naval Base, March 26,
2003. The Duke of York served in the Royal Navy for 22 years and has
been Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Irish Regiment since 1992. Britain's
Prime Minister Tony Blair is due to fly to Washington on Wednesday for
a war council with President George W. Bush, eager to convince his ally
that the United Nations must play a central role in a post-war Iraq.
