AN AFGHAN OFFICIAL SHOWS AN INJURED BEAR IN KABUL ZOO.
An official of the national Afghan Zoo in Kabul points to the injured nose of a bear on April 23, 2001. The injury was inflicted by zoo visitors recently. The bear is one of the few remaining inmates that survived the fierce battles between 1992 and 1995 when the zoo was in the middle of war fronts.
