United States 10th Mountain Division Major Brad Herndon from Fort Drum,
New York looks through a book found at an al Qaeda or Taliban
encampment that was hit by U.S. fire on the mountain top known as the
"Whale" in the Shahikot valley region of eastern Afghanistan, March 16,
2002. The book contained hand written notes in the Chechen language.
The encampment was hit during Operation Anaconda as coalition troops
