Bolivian designer Beatriz Canedo Patino models the Hollywood Graffiti Gown in La Paz.
Bolivian designer Beatriz Canedo Patino models for photographers the Hollywood Graffiti Gown, upon which her signature will be embroidered along with the signatures of nearly 400 famous women from around the world, in La Paz July 26, 2005. The gown was created 24 years ago to bring together women from all cultures to raise awareness of and help fight AIDS. Embroidered on the gown, in platinum and crystal beads, are the autographs of all the women who wore it, including Mother Teresa, Yoko Ono and Katharine Hepburn. Patino, the latest person to have her signature added to the gown, is known as the Queen of Alpaca for her creations using Alpaca wool. The gown is on a final global tour before being auctioned off as its final contribution to the fight against AIDS. Picture taken July 26, 2005. REUTERS/David Mercado ODLY DM/SA
