OFFICIALS DISCUSS RESUMED CONCORDE SERVICE IN NEW YORK.
New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) walks from the podium laughing after
telling a reporter he was ready to fly on Concorde right away, at a press
conference held to discuss the resumption of British Airways and Air France
Concorde flights at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York on
November 7, 2001. French Transport Minister Jean-Claude Gayssot (2nd L), Air
France Chairman Jean-Cyril Spinetta (L), and British Minister for Transport
John Speller (2nd R) laughed at the joke. Flights were stopped after the
crash of an Air France Concorde outside Paris on July 25, 2000.
