Kitty Yen, president of Taiwan's second largest carrier EVA Airways,
told Reuters in an interview in Taipei January 9, 2002, that she is
confident for a 2002 turnaround after its steepest loss in EVA's
10-year history. Yen, who took the helm of EVA Airways on January 1,
said the worst is over and sales in 2002 are forecast to grow by 10
