A teller of Albania's Savings Bank, the nations biggest, changes
Italian lire to euros for a client as Albania was introduced to the
euro on Thursday, the first business day after New Year's holidays
January 3, 2002. Almost 70 percent of $1 billion Albanian imports come
from Italy and Greece and economist expect euros to become the
