Geraldine Zog on arrival at the Mother Tereza international airport in
Tirana, after 63 years of exile. Geraldine died October 22, 2002 at the
age of 87, after a long pulmonary disease. The Hungarian born countess
Geraldine Nagy-Appony, married Albania's King Zog in 1938, but was
forced to flee the country in April 1939 when fascist Italy invaded
Albania. King Zog and his family were forbidden to return to Albania by
communist rulers who abolished the monarchy in 1946. REUTERS/Arben
