A military bulldozer removes snow and ice from the road in near town of
Bulqize, 120 km from Tirana January 5, 2002. A wave of unusual cold has
stroke Albania causing the blocking of many roads from the heavy snow
in the northern and estern part of the country. The government has
asked NATO fordces in neighbouring Kosovo to supply with their
helicopters the isolated areas in the north of the country.
