Algerian police gather clues after a small bomb exploded in central
Algiers wounding at least 11 people, two of whom had to have legs
amputated in Algiers, August 29, 2001. The bomb, hidden in a plastic
bag, went off in a busy narrow street of the populous lower Kasbah area
near a hawker stall. The bomb attack was the first in the Algerian
capital in nearly two years.
