Cheese carriers of the famous Alkmaar cheese market celebrate a new record for biggest cheese in the world April 27, 2002 in Alkmaar, Netherlands. The enormous Beemster (Gouda) has a weight of 567 kilograms, a diameter of 160 centimetres, a height of about half a metre and is made of 5000 litres milk.
