Unions and student organizations march through downtown Buenos Aires March 11 carrying effigies of Argentine President Carlos Menem (L) and Buenos Aires' Mayor Fernando de la Rua to to protest over cuts in the 1999 education budget. Around 185,000 students throughout the country have blocked streets and occupied university buildings since last week after the Argentine government announced the cuts.
