A tourist looks at postcards with Tango images in Buenos Aires
A tourist looks at postcards with Tango images in the Caminito district of Buenos Aires neighborhood of La Boca, in this picture taken on January 28, 2008. Tango is a $450 million industry, and accounts for 10 percent of entertainment spending in Argentina's capital, not bad for a century-old dance form competing with movies, video arcades, stadium rock and raves. Argentina has benefited from a sudden jump in tourism after a deep economic crisis in 2002 that saw the peso currency fall sharply, making travel to Argentina cheaper. Like a New Orleans jazz club, or a samba night in Rio de Janeiro, a tango show is a must-see for visitors to Buenos Aires. Picture taken on January 28, 2008.
