Chinese painter Liu Xiaodong poses in between his portraits of a soldier in Taiwan's frontline island of Quemoy. Chinese painter Liu Xiaodong poses in between his portraits of a soldier from China's People's Liberation Army (L) and a soldier from the Taiwan military in Quemoy on September 10, 2004. Liu, who was the first artist to visit army camps on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, is one of 18 artists from Taiwan and China who are converting derelict bomb shelters into multi-media installations, hoping to use art to bridge a bitter political divide. The Bunker Museum of Contemporary Art exhibit runs until January 10, 2005. Picture taken September 10, 2004. REUTERS/Richard Chung
