SUPPORTERS PROTEST DETAINMENT OF MUSLIM RABIH HADDAD.
Supporters of jailed Muslim Rabih Haddad protest outside of the INS
Immigration Court during a closed bond hearing January 2, 2002 in
downtown Detroit. Haddad has been detained since December 14, 2001, the
same day federal agents raided the offices of the Global Relief
Foundation in Illinois. Haddad, who was arrested at his home in Ann
Arbor, Michigan, is co-founder of the foundation and on the group's
board of trustees. The Global Relief Fund is on the U.S. governments
list of groups suspected of supplying funds to terrorists groups.
Haddad's family and friends deny any wrong doing on his part. The judge
denied bond and declared Haddad a flight risk and a danger to the
