The Team RE/MAX balloon gondola, suspended from a crane, is transported to the launch site at sunrise at Alice Springs airport January 13. The launch attempt was aborted. Two pilots, Dave Liniger from Denver Colorado and Australian John Wallington of Canberra, are attempting a non-stop around the world balloon flight flying in the earth's stratosphere but have been grounded for over two weeks due to poor weather conditions.
