The family of East Timor rebel leader Xanana Gusmao watch a television report of his release from prison into house arrest in Jakarta from their Melbourne home February 10. Wife Emelia (R) and son Nito, 28, (L) welcomed the move and said that Xanana's release was a major step towards creating and independent East Timor.
