Fireworks light up Sydney's Blues Point Tower apartment building as the New Year is welcomed into Sydney with a two million dollar (US$1.3million) display December 31. An estimated 500,000 people flocked to the city's foreshore to watch the spectacular show where more than 20,000 fireworks, equivalent to two shipping containers were detonated.
