HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVISTS ABOARD THE 'EUREKA' IN SYDNEY.
Human rights activists (L-R) Lance Gowland, Joty Barker, Ruth Boydell and Stavros Georgopoulos stand aboard their boat 'Eureka' as it prepares to sail from Sydney May 15, 2004 to the South Pacific island of Nauru where they will deliver presents to immigration detainees on World Refugee Day on June 20th. The group, calling themselves the 'Flotilla of Hope', are making the voyage after a Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission investigation found Australia had breached the United Nations Convention on the 'Rights of the Child' by holding children in detention and failing to protect their health and welfare.
