The 2004 Toyota Prius makes it's world premiere at the 2003 New York
Auto show April 16, 2003. The Prius is a "full hybrid system" car that
can operate in either gas or electric modes as well as a mode in which
both the gas engine and the electric motor are in operation. The Prius
is expected to get as much as the mid 50's in miles per gallon.
