WORKERS POSITION A NEW MERCEDES SPORTCOUPE IN BANGKOK.
Thai workers position a new Mercedes-Benz C230K Sportcoupe on a turntable at the Bangkok International Motor show March 29, 2001. Manufacturer Daimler-Chrysler said March 28 that it may take as long as 10 years before the luxury carmaker sells as many cars in Thailand as it did in 1997. Just 3,500 Mercedes per year are currently being sold in Thailand against over 12,000 before the 1997 financial crisis hit. The 22nd Bangkok International Motor Show opens to the public March 31.
