An F/A-18 Hornet from Strike Fighter Squadron Nine Four (VFA-94) conducts a mission over the Persian Gulf on March 9 in support of the United Nations no-fly zone over southern Iraq. The aircraft is armed with AIM-9 short-range air-to-air missiles, AIM-7 medium-range air-to-air missiles, and one laser guided bomb. VFA-94 is currently operating from the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson, on a regularly scheduled deployment in the region.
