Catholic Archbishop Patrick D' Rozario washes the feet of a layman during the traditional Washing of the Feet ceremony on Maundy Thursday inside the St. Mary's Cathedral at Ramna in Dhaka April 9, 2009. Maundy Thursday or Holy Thursday is the day Christians commemorate the Last Supper of Jesus Christ. It is the Thursday immediately preceding Easter. "Maundy" comes from the French word, "Mande," meaning "command" or "mandate", and has reference to the washing of the Apostles' feet by Christ on Thursday evening before His death.
