Armed police are deployed around Sankhu police station near the Nepali capital Kathmandu December 19, 2004 after Maoist rebels attacked a police post. Maoist rebels attacked the police post near Kathmandu with crude bombs and automatic weapons on Saturday, killing five policemen, police said. The attack was the biggest assault by rebels so close to the capital since they launched a revolt in 1996 aiming to topple the constitutional monarchy. REUTERS/Gopal Chitrakar GC/FA
