Belgian King Philippe (6th R) poses with members of the government as they offer their resignation in the Royal Palace in Brussels July 22, 2013. It is tradition for the government to offer its resignation, which will then be declined by the newly sworn in king, as a symbolic act in respect for the monarchy. Belgium swore in Philippe as its new king on Sunday after his father Albert II abdicated. Also seen are (L-R) Belgian State Secretary for the Fight against Tax and Social Fraud John Crombez, State Secretary for Institutional Reforms Servais Verherstraeten, ministers Philippe Courard of Social Affairs, Monica De Coninck of Employment, Jean-Pascal Labille of Public Enterprises, Olivier Chastel of Budget, Sabine Laruelle of Agriculture, Joelle Milquet of Interior Affairs, Laurette Onkelinx of Health and Deputy Prime Minister Didier Reynders, Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo, King Philippe and ministers Pieter De Crem of Defence, Alexander De Croo of Pensions and Johan Vande Lanotte of Economy and Consumers, Annemie Turtelboom of Justice and Koen Geens of Finance.
