The coffin of Belgian writer Hugo Claus is seen under his portrait during a funeral service in the Bourla Theater of Antwerp March 29, 2008. Ghent-born Claus, author of "The Sorrow of Belgium", suffered from Alzheimer's disease and had asked for his life to be terminated under Belgium's liberal euthanasia law. He died at a hospital in Antwerp on March 19, aged 78.
