An employee of the Belgian Central Bank shows Belgian franc notes (L)
and rolls made up of shredded notes in Brussels January 7, 2002. The
destruction of large amounts of francs notes, which started in
December, could take up to six month at an average of 320,000 notes
destroyed per hour. There are still 230 million franc notes in
