JOURNALISTS LOOK DOWN ON OFFICIALS FROM THE 26 MEMBER STATES AT NATO
HEADQUARTERS IN BRUSSELS.
Journalists look down on officials from the 26 member states that will
make up a newly enlarged NATO during a special meeting of the North
Atlantic Council with the seven countries invited to join NATO -
Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia -
at NATO headquarters in Brussels March 26, 2003. The Protocols of
Accession are amendments to the North Atlantic Treaty which once signed
and ratified by the 19 NATO member countries, will permit the invited
countries to become parties to the Treaty and members of NATO.
