Passersby and media watch magician David Blaine as he is entombed in a six-ton block of ice close to the start of a stunt in New York November 27, 2000. Blaine will attempt to stay in the ice for 58 hours. A tube will run through the ice carrying air and water to Blaine with a medical team which will be standing by to monitor his vital signs. He has worked out eye signals with his medical staff in case of emergency.
