El Alto, Bolivia
Tourists get off a bus during a tour to see buildings designed by Aymara architect Freddy Mamani, in El Alto city on the outskirts of La Paz, September 11, 2015. Colourful mansions such as this one have been built by wealthy ethnic Aymara Indians in the Bolivian city of El Alto in recent years, and have become a tourist attraction thanks to a tour during which visitors can learn about them. "Cholets" is the popular name for these creations, which have been built in a new architectural style dubbed "neo-Andean baroque". Mamani, who has been involved in constructing about 60 of these buildings, calls them Aymara architecture, according to local media. REUTERS/David Mercado
