United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan (L) addresses diplomats and
officials during a ceremony to unveil a memorial to 275 U.N. staff who
were killed in the peace missons in the Balkans over the last decade,
November 17, 2002. Annan, who is on a European tour, arrived on a
two-day visit to Bosnia on Sunday and he will also visit Yugoslavia and
Croatia in the next five days. The U.N. will end its peacekeeping
mission in Bosnia at the end of the year and turn over the police
