France's Foreign Minister Michele Alliot-Marie talks during a meeting with students of the University of Sao Paulo (USP) in Sao Paulo February 21, 2011. Alliot-Marie said on Monday to Reuters TV that Mexico should repatriate a Frenchwoman convicted for kidnapping in order to maintain a "friendly relationship" between the two countries. Tensions between France and Mexico have been rising since the Mexican government rejected a request from the European country last week to repatriate Florence Cassez, sentenced to a 60-year prison term after her court appeal was thrown out last week.
