Former Senator Marina Silva (C) holds her PSB membership form next to Pernambuco state Governor Eduardo Campos (R) during a meeting where she announced her decision to join the Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB), in Brasilia October 5, 2013. Two of Brazil's most popular opposition leaders joined forces on Saturday, an unexpected alliance that could pose a major challenge to President Dilma Rousseff in next year's election. Silva, a former environment minister who is running second in polls for next year's vote, announced she is joining the PSB Party of Pernambuco state Governor Campos. Campos will be the party's presidential candidate, with Silva as vice-presidential candidate. Also pictured is Congresswoman Luiza Erundina (L).
