Heron is seen at Guarapiranga reservoir during a drought in Sao Paulo
A heron is seen at Guarapiranga reservoir, during a drought in Sao Paulo November 21, 2014. The Basic Sanitation Company of the State of Sao Paulo (SABESP) is transferring water from Guarapiranga reservoir to supply the population that was served by Cantareira System. Hit by Brazil's worst drought in 80 years, the two main reservoirs, Cantareira and Guarapiranga, serving metropolitan Sao Paulo, South America's largest city, could dry out by February if relief does not arrive in the upcoming rainy season. Today, the Guarapiranga reservoir operates with 33.0% of its capacity and Cantareira system with 9.7%, according to SABESP. REUTERS/Paulo Whitaker (BRAZIL - Tags: DISASTER ENVIRONMENT ANIMALS)
