Riot police on horseback block screaming protesters from approaching the entrance to the Central Bank in Brasilia, October 7. The group staged a massive protest in favor of agrarian reform and against the government austerity drive agreed to with the International Monetary Fund. The protesters arrived in the capital after 75 days in a march covering more than 982 miles (1,580 km) and lasting more than two months.
