Biodegradable car and impact-proof ski suit modelled as part of history of plastics exhibition in London...
A biodegradable car and impact-proof ski suit are modelled by George Wright at The Science Museum in central London May 22, 2007. The 'Toyota i-Unit' concept vehicle uses plant-based materials instead oil-based plastics or metals, whilst the 'd3o ski suit' utilises a polymer material which hardens to protect upon impact. They form part of a year long exhibition detailing how plastics have changed the world in the past one hundred years, with examples of previous and future uses of the synthetic material design, clothing, transport and design.
