ULSTER UNIONIST LEADER DAVID TRIMBLE ARRIVES FOR THE COMMONWEALTH DAY
SERVICE AT WESTMINSTER ABBEY.
Ulster Unionist Leader David Trimble arrives for the Commonwealth Day
Service at Westminster Abbey in London March 11, 2002. The annual
Commonwealth celebrations, described as a day to celebrate the
diversity and shared values that bind it's people together, have been
somewhat overshadowed by deep divisions over the present political
situation in Zimbabwe. The Commonwealth is under fire for failing to
suspend Zimbabwe for political intimidation and violence in the runup
to the presidential elections, now in it's third day of voting.
