Ffion Hague, wife of Tory leader William Hague, arrives at the Imperial hotel in Blackpool ahead of the party's annual conference October 3. The Conservatives are gathering in the Northern seaside town with the public squabbles of former party leaders John Major and Margaret Thatcher threatening to overshadow any policy ommittments which may be made during the week.
