British soldiers from 3 Armoured Engineer Squadron construct a 'logistic support bridge' across the river Derwent in Workington, northern England December 4, 2009. The army were drafted in to help the residents of Workington after recent heavy rain and flooding destroyed one road bridge and permanently damaged the second. The bridges were the only means for pedestrians and vehicles to cross the river that divides the town in half. REUTERS/Nigel Roddis (BRITAIN - Tags: DISASTER SOCIETY MILITARY)
