U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Toby Studabaker makes a phone call on his cell
phone as he waits to embark a CH-46 helicopter at Camp Lejeune, North
Carolina, in this September 20, 2001 file photo. British police and
Interpol launched a manhunt July 14, 2003 for a recently discharged
U.S. marine identified as Lance Cpl. Toby Studabaker, and a 12-year-old
British schoolgirl, Shevaun Pennington, who police believe ran off to
France together after meeting on the internet. Studabaker was regularly discharged on June 30 after serving for more than three years. He was a lance corporal based at Camp Lejeune, North
Carolina, U.S. Marine Corps spokesman Shawn Turner said.
