COMPOSITE PICTURE OF THE FIVE LAW LORDS IN THE HOUSE OF LORDS.
The five Law Lords, (L-R TOP) Lord Nicholls, Lord Steyn and Lord Hoffman, who were against Pinochet's freedom, and (L-R BOTTOM) Lord Sylnn, Lord Lloyd, who were in favour of Pinochet's release, read their decisions on the extradition of former Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet in the House of Lords November 25. The panel of five Law Lords decided three to two to uphold an appeal against a decision of the High Court last month that Pinochet should go free.
