British National Party leader Nick Griffin uses his mobile phone as he poses for photographers near the Montgomery Canal in Welshpool, Wales June 8, 2009. Mainstream political parties on Monday condemned the electoral success of the far-right British National Party after it won its first two seats in the European Parliament. The BNP took a 6.2 percent share of the national vote, in sixth place behind the Greens, Liberal Democrats, Labour, the UK Independence Party (UKIP) and the Conservatives, who topped the polls with 28 percent.
