Police close the road to Scarfskerry as the chemical tanker Ascania is still drifting in the Pentland Firth at Dunnet Head March 20. The tanker loaded with volatile chemicals was abandoned early yesterday morning, as a blaze on board the ships engine room went out of control. A five mile exclusion zone was imposed around the ship, forcing the evacuation of two villages.
