AN ORANGE ORDER FLAG FLIES IN FRONT OF THE SPIRE AT DRUMCREE CHURCH,
PORTADOWN, NORTHERN IRELAND.
An Orange order flag flies in front of the spire at Drumcree church,
Portadown, Northern Ireland, July 5 2003. Soldiers from the First
Battalion of the Devonshire and Dorset Regiment erected defences on
Saturday ahead of the contentious Drumcree Orange parade, traditionally
taking place the Sunday before July 12th. The Parades Commission has
again banned Orangemen from marching down the mainly Catholic Garvachy
road, which has previously led to violence between marchers and
security forces in their attempt to do so. REUTERS/Toby Melville
