Waxwing birds strip a tree of berries in central England.
Waxwing birds strip a tree of berries in Heather, central England, February 20, 2005. Waxwings are a rare visitor to Britain and the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) usually expects fewer than one hundred individuals to arrive each winter. A shortage of berries in Scandinavia and Siberia has forced more to migrate and search for food further inland. NO RIGHTS CLEARANCES OR PERMISSIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS IMAGE.
