A masseur gives a woman a massage at a spa centre of a hotel in the town of Velingrad, central Bulgaria, March 24, 2010. Before the fall of communism in 1989, people from Scandinavia, the former Soviet bloc and the Middle East were regular guests in Bulgaria's spa resorts which were at the time specialised in treating medical conditions varying from gout to sterility. But in the past decade, Bulgaria marketed itself almost entirely as a cheap destination for summer and winter holidays, turning its back on its varied natural resources. Picture taken March 24, 2010.
