IN PRETORIA.
U.S. President George W. Bush speaks alongside his South African
counterpart Thabo Mbeki, at the presidential Guest House in Pretoria,
July 9, 2003. Bush said Wednesday he saw Mbeki as "an honest broker"
over Zimbabwe, easing relations between Washington and Pretoria
strained by the Iraq war. Bush's trip aims to boost democracy and
economic development in Africa by spotlighting a $15 billion U.S.
program to fight AIDS and a $100 million initiative to stamp out
terrorism. REUTERS/Jason Reed
