US PRESIDENT BUSH LISTENS TO HIS NATIONAL ANTHEM AT A LUNCH IN
PRETORIA.
U.S. President George W. Bush listens to the U.S. national anthem as
his South African counterpart Thabo Mbeki looks on, during lunch at the
presidential Guest House in Pretoria, July 9, 2003. Bush said Wednesday
he saw Mbeki as "an honest broker" over Zimbabwe, easing relations
between Washington and Pretoria strained by the Iraq war. Bush's trip
aims to boost democracy and economic development in Africa by
spotlighting a $15 billion U.S. program to fight AIDS and a $100
million initiative to stamp out terrorism. REUTERS/Jason Reed
